More about transferring Fate characters to the other three Fate games

I found out the hard way. This may save you some disappointment. Since the games are a little harder as the series progresses, I wanted to start a character in Fate, then move them through the other games. Here's what I found:
1. Fate is the only game that allows its characters to be transferred over--you can't take a Traitor Soul character and play him/her in Cursed King, for example.
2. Only playable characters may be transferred--once he/she retires, that's it. No more transfers allowed.
3. Unlike the original Wild Tangent game, the Steam version of Undiscovered Realms allows you to take along the entire contents of your treasure chest. Traitor Soul and Cursed King only allow what is on your person.
4. Your pet always comes with you, like the loyal little pet it is, along with everything it wears.
5. Your character will start at the same level at which it was transferred, spells and skills included.
6. Your character is eligible for transfer at any level, whether he/she has reached hero status or not, and may still continue playing in Grove.
Hope this saves someone from disappointment.

Wait, I can't take Traitor Soul Character into the Cursed King? Even if I went in order of release? Fate > Undiscovered Realms > Traitor Soul > Cursed King.

you can transfer from traitor soul to cursed king no problem, you can also transfer straight from 1 to cursed king without issue

So if I import a character, can I still play that character on the 1st fate game? Or is he gone and in the new game?
