weird glitch in main menu

i just purchased and downloaded fate, and I am unable to start the game at all. My mouse can only move in the upper left hand side of the screen, almost as if i had the window open smaller than what it is. i cannot get the mouse to go down to "start game" or any of the other menu options... anyone know what the deal is or how to fix it?

This worked for me! I changed it to the "wide" resolution, changed the fullscreen back to 1, and it loaded fine.

From my files on this topic (gleaned from old threads):

CURSOR "TRAPPED" IN A CORNER OF THE GAME?

If the cursor seems stuck? Then the issue is that the resolution on the monitor is set too high for the game. You can fix it though.

Step 1: You will need to change the setting FULLSCREEN to 0 in the config.dat file. (read above to find where that file is, how to see it, etc)
Step 2: Launch the game and change the resolution inside the game to a lower setting, like 1024x768.
Step 3: Head back to the FULLSCREEN setting in the config.dat file and up it to 1.
Step 4: Relaunch the game, and the cursor will be able to move around again.

The above information came from the Wild Tangent website, and here is the location where you can find the config.dat file:

C:\ProgramData\WildTangent\FateSteam\Persistent

You may need to enable hidden files to see it.
