Fate hangs on loading screen, Windows 10

My fate launches just fine but when it goes to load it hangs in the loading screen, I can hear the music and everything but the screen just freezes, does anyone know how to solve this?

Just had this issue myself and couldnt find a fix on the boards, but found some details that lead me to this appraoch which worked for me:

- Deinstall FATE via Steam (Library, installed, Fate, uninstall)
- Close Steam
- Use Windows Explorer and go to This PC / C: / ProgramData
- Delete the WildTangent Directory
- Reinstall Fate in Steam. It will rebuild/compress graphics again, ie takes a minute, but you should get past the loading screen

Interesting. I think it was trying to update the Wild Tangent website, just like Steam does every so often when it has a new sale or something, except Wild Tangent updates more frequently. It takes a while, but there is nothing to tell you that it's doing that. If you haven't logged into the Wild Tangent website in a long time, it may not recognize you and so it doesn't load. If you've never used the Wild Tangent website, and you bought the game on Steam, then it's odd that you would get that problem.

I tried this fix multiple times and I still cannot get it to work. Still stuck on initial loading screen (loaded about 80%) and can hear menu music but cannot get in. Anyone else know any other fixes?
