FATE
Very serious bug.
Something is wrong with the game for me. The mouse doesn't move down past the area just above the new game button. Will not go down far enough to select anything. I've tried adjusting the resolution and panel fit settings, but it will not work. Please help with this. I'm on windows 10...

I am having the same issue with it, i have tried multiple things (the things i know how to do) with no luck. Were you able to find a solution to this problem?

Nope, I spent forever trying, but ended up just getting it refunded.
Really sucks though, cause I was looking forward to the nostalgic experience.

I know this is one of those "thank you capitan obvious" but you could uninstall it then reinstall it. Nevermind, I see that you already "returned" it for a refund.

checked other discussions, go to file explorer copy and paste this into search bar C:\ProgramData\WildTangent\FateSteam\Persistent open the .dat folder in notepad, change the
setting FULLSCREEN:1 to FULLSCREEN:0 and change the screen height and width to your current resolution so for me 1600x1200 change width to 1600 (x = horizontal = width, which x always goes before y) and height to 1200

Lady Hiriko, I had already tried reinstalling, twice, but decided to give up after that, and all the resolution changes, failed.

i fixed this bug doing something similar to BigDickBarrack above , but instead of manually typing the resolution in the .dat file , i just changed the FULLSCREEN line ; ran the game and changed the resolution via the in-game menu ( in my case when bugged it had 1920x1080 when the pc ran at 1366x768 normally. That caused the cursor to run out of "room" to move in the desktop , making it appear trapped in an invisible box ingame)

I have faced the same problem but I usually fix it by ajusting the screen res back and forth a few times...

I tried to copy paste into the file explorer search bar but it came up with no results, any other suggestions?

I can get as far as the name of the file, but it's empty. As far as I know I have no hidden files, but I might be missing something. Any tips dude?

For me, the issue was that the resolution was too high (set to a previous monitor's resolution)
Going into C:\ProgramData\WildTangent\FateSteam\Persistent and setting FULLSCREEN to 0 in the config.dat file, then downsizing the resolution in-game (to 1024x768), finally changing FULLSCREEN back to 1 and relaunching FATE worked for me
I'm running Win10 x64 if anyone's curious/it might help.

Right click config.dat and select "Open with" then Notepad, hopefully then you will be able to edit it
