Ah thanks, I finished it finally...kinda feels like some weird google captcha typing AI game with all the "is this a picture of a blank" stuff lol, but pretty creepy none the less. GJ
-- even with the help here, that was still way too tight.
( only just made it through, though the creature was within kill-distance. ).
i tried twice, once the creature was very near, other the creater was further away. Both times I lost when I finished the calibration. I'm stuck
You need to quickly press then look back up. If you just try to press them faster without lookin back up, it won't work.
Any video of your issue?
After beating the monster by putting in the calibration it'll say calibration failed on the screen, however instead of restarting the game hit "Retry" on the main menu. This brings you to the second portion of the game, and then the ending when you complete it.
Hope this helps!
Every time you have to look down, make sure to carefully get into a position from where you can already see the button or get as close to it as possible. This will buy you the couple of seconds that you need to win. Make the way to the buttons as short as possible. It's barely enough but in the end it was enough.
Great demo, it was scary.
Beyond that, couldn't be happier. Perfect atmosphere, great visuals and sound design both, and thrilled to follow as it keeps coming together!
Testing-wise feedback: I thought there was a mechanic I was overlooking to make it retreat, then 'This is a demo, maybe this is a bug, or the way they ended the demo?', then wondered if I had screwed up something early enough in the game to make this impossible a la Zork, and on failure #5 I gave up and came here. I think the mechanic is fabulous (and I had a lot of time to appreciate that death screen which is lovely) but I feel the effect can still be achieved while helping us slow-mousers, to prevent us being sucked out of the moment with meta questions.
