Boar spawn is zero
since the patch boars have stopped spawning anywhere close to my base. I have to head into a new area/ biome in order to find them.

Ive not got it but I turn up my ore multiplier to full, seems to spawn the boars frequently too.

DO they eventually stop when you kill too many?

FYI, the Devs made the Boars stop spawning around the base, I have asked to find out what actually entails your base because near end game your base stretches across the whole map and they are not seen anywhere, it took me for ever to find 2 just to make my Backpack m which I forgot about LOL.
Well I basically live off mushroom soup and can buy the hides, but it doesnt sound like a good choice, must have been a reason but its not like they are a valuable resource mid to late game, definitely at the start but killing Orcs gives you plenty.

Boars have not spawned close to your base for a while. This is to stop them spawning inside your buildings and inside the building blocks themselves. If you run into the wilderness, you'll find them. How large is your base?

Now I understand, my starter base is built on a platform slightly above ground surface and the other day a boar was stuck under the edge of the platform. Hasn't happened since. I just make soup and whack the occasional boar when I'm out exploring. No big deal, carry on with the optimizing. I'll live off soup happily while you work. Great game so far.

Thanks, I had a little look at a few of our test bases for what was happening with that no spawn radius and it's sadly larger than it actually should be so at some point I'll come back to it so it doesn't create boar dead zones that are miles around your bases.

Maybe introduce boar breeding like you have in the tutorial an then it won't matter if they respawn or not in the wild. I killed a lot of boars in that tutorial, just just kept spawning in.

Hello Dev, as of this morning I ran across all the boar I could want. I'm guessing you made some adjustments. The mushrooms can take a break.
Well, I don't hunt wild boars anymore...The orcs provide enough meat and since I'm underground anyway, I have plenty to eat.
When I made this post my base was not very big on the surface. I was venturing out away from it and was still not seeing any boar. I started a new game with a different seed and so far this issue has not happened.

my top base is next to a large wooden area and it got tons of boars all over, maybe different biomes different stuff?

There seems to be a lot of impostor Dwarves in this discussion; no self respecting Dwarf lives off of mushroom soup when there is hooch to be made and drunk, or at the very least, Barley Bread.

hehe, yep, they need to tone down the orcs /golin drop for food, orce drop should only be small buff, jumping higher, spawn a freaking glider so i can pass over crevice, i got lots of them on top, reason i went down under , middle part is all pited, also if there was a tavern for dwarfs, with food they sell, could be nice, i never do garden in most games, but we do need more stuff to spend gold on, maybe more building blocks that cost more gold??i always spend everything ingame, it will be very hard for me to save up 10 million lol, but what we need is some digging vehicles, steam punk style , maybe a small glider , make them end game where u need lots of gold, etc to get them, keep players going , statues would be nice to decorate, so much to add that i`lll prob never see, prob when i get bored and come back a few years later or multiplayer comes out, i`m about 1/2 way into it, great game, ty, trick with player base is small updates every 2 week to a month, we really love having more stuff to play with, hiring dwarves to live in your town would be nice, even if there lazy
