Played for about 6 hours and had one crash after another (no error message)
Automatic saving switched on - and 2-3 minutes after saving, crash (fly out of the game and no error message)
Automatic saving set to 3 min, 5 min and 10 min (keeps crashing after the first save)

Automatic saving switched off. Manual saving every 4 minutes ==== No crash

I am 110h in the game and build a railway through big parts of my mountain, fortresses and factories, two Villages with npc and houses for them. A station with toilets for the public; now ive found the graves of two Kings and am unable to save the game anymore.

Orebound has become unplayable. It eats all of my 12gb of available ram. its unbelievable how bad its optimized. It eats 78% off cpu and 11,8Gb of ram. As soon as it has eaten all your ram: you crash.

Space Marine 2 runs on high and OreBound is burning my system.

I think its eating your ram and then you crash.

Ive bought a kit of 32GB DDR4 Ram now. If this wont suffice i am forced to leave my favourite Game untill its fixed.

OreBound is my absolute favourite of all Games. I dreamed of a Kingdom beneath the mountain but this has come to a halt for now,

I tested it on 2 computers:
MS 10 Pro
AMD Ryzen 9 9950X
Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 7900 XT (My brother has one: MSI GeForce RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X)
We both have more than 32 gigs of RAM
And everything is under water (extremely high cooling)

So I don't think it's our hardware. The game just wasn't programmed properly. Sure, it's a small team, but then you should think about it...either teaming up with a big game developer or making everything so stable that not so many players have soooo many problems.

oh no. Thats bad. thats bad indeed. so i can forget it untill its better optimized.
Thank you for this info. So i will play something else untill its fixed

My fans go into shock when I play this game. I'm constantly exiting and giving them a rest.

Have you tried adjusting your paging file? I had to do this for another survival game. I forget what windows recommends. I do know that what windows recommends is just too small. I manually set mine to 49152 mb. It helps with a lot of games. Might be why I only get lag in this game and don't crash.

I ll try now; thanks in advance
update: game ran better but crashed at saving to desktop

Может, имеет смысл попробовать установить программу для периодической очистки памяти? Помню, в раннем Скайриме была похожая проблема, пока не пофиксили.

Maybe it makes sense to try to install a program for periodic memory cleanup? I remember there was a similar problem in early Skyrim until it was fixed.

Play the game...but turn off the automatic saving first. Manual saving is much better. I've tried a lot now and haven't had any crashes when saving manually

+, turn off autosave = 0 crashes

Update: Now ive got my kit with 32gb DDR4 ram. With it ive put autosave on 5 minutes to test it and made several manual saves.
Still performance issues but there are zero crashes.

Now im again King under the Mountain!

To clarify: My issue was crash to desktop while saving; no matter if it was manually or automatically. I turned auto save off but the only consequence was more progress lost so i stoped playing. now with 32 GB im able to save. solved for now.

This one time, I had a pc, and I couldn't play this game called Sacrifice (fantastic game, one of the Gods in it is voiced by Tim Curry), had to get a pc upgrade to do so. Glad you're playing now :). Hope it's 1) worth it, and 2) makes all your other gaming experiences feel like smooth butter.
