My preferred solution would have been fog of war with free camera movement but we didn't have funds to implement it.
Thanks for the reply. It's a visually stunning game (beautiful art) and I love the Disciples style level-up but I sadly can't get over the rigid camera/movement. I consider what you've mentioned above a requirementt for a game like this (free camera/fog of war). I had no idea something like that would be so expensive.
For future reference, are you planning on adding a dynamic mini map (camera moves to the clicked upon map area, a more limited free camera alternative) or visual auto-combat instead of just quick combat? Cheers.
