That just makes it more in favor of the paladin. Is there anything that makes the knight better then him?
The combat stats are negated due to the willpower of the paladin giving him more defense and attack. He also gets 3 more willpower for being a paladin which negates and even puts his stats above the knights. All the knight has is the ability to use evilish items and ive only seen 2 of those in the game and im almost done with it.
Not sure how much of a difference the knight's extras make in practice though - mine spends most of his time sitting on a horse skewering people - but I'm only playing on regular difficulty.
The paladin gets the Fearless (resist) and God's Warrior (willpower) skills, and also gets to use some of the the holy gear that's otherwise only accessible to monks, balanced by not being able to don the trappings of evil.
God's Warrior is a nice skill - amulet slots full of willpower buffs means good stats + effective heals, the tradeoff being the need to find the right gear to make best use of it. Fearless am not sure on - perhaps plays a greater part further into the game than I am at the moment.
