Progress reset after update

Unfortunately its necessary to erase your current progress after we update to the next alpha version.
Because every little thing you change in this game is saved, you kind of create your own version of all levels while playing. So if we update content of those levels you would not see them as you would still load the version you have saved locally. As it is impossible to merge your progress with all the changes we make in each alpha, the game will automatically reset your progress after a major update.
So if you want a souvenir of your latest adventures, take a screenshot, make a movie, and then say goodbye :)

Yes, and I found the ending very anticlimactic. Great game. Terrible ending.

Agreed. The ending has stopped me from recommending the game to anyone. Not only was it a bad ending, but being unable to return to the world and find the 'real' ending (if there was one), or even enjoy the world, really makes it much worse.

Ah, this answers my question. I hadn't turned the game on in a while and when I tried today I found myself at the beginning. Alas.
