Cannot play Plague Inc
Today I updated the game and I can no longer play.

It goes black for a while and then the game ends and returns me to the desktop.

Sometimes I get a Unity window with an update bar but it doesn't complete it.

I have tried the most frequent errors but could not fix it.

The game was working before the update and when installing again I don't have a log.

I would like a fix for the game as well. Before the update, couple of days ago,me and my friend were able to play with no issues(co-op,versus), but with the new update, we can no longer play. First, we were able to start the game, but my disease panel where my abilities,etc were at, was blank. I couldn't see anything. Another issue is My friend plays on a mac and her issue was at first, she couldn't open the app. It would say you do not have permission to open plagueincevolved even though we'd just played it a day or two ago. Her laptop was updated to big sur as well. When we were in the game, we couldn't press the ready button to start the game. At first, I was able to when I'm the one who invited her to join my game, but when she invited me, I couldn't press it on my side. However though, for her, she is unable to press ready no matter who invited who. After several tries, it started saying that it couldn't connect us to the game because we don't have internet when we do. Lastly, most of her buttons in the game don't work. I mean when she's clicking on play or continue from the main menu, it wouldn't click for her. The pause button for her doesn't work in game and some other buttons to click in game. I'm confused as to what happened to the game. Please fix. I play on windows, she plays on macbook pro 2020 with m1 chip.

Sorry to hear of the issues. A few things that might help; First is to make sure that you are both running 64bit operating systems. if not, please upgrade your MacOS and Windows OS to 64 bit. Then make sure you have a clean install of the game; using Steam uninstall the game. Close Steam and then open it again and re-install the game via Steam. Hope this helps! Thanks.

Just popping in to say I have the same issue as the OP does.

When I'm playing, after a while Plauge Inc will crash and bring up a Unity window with the download/update bar that only fills a quarter of the way before shutting down entirely.

From what I've noticed, it only seems to be crashing this way when I open the disease menu.
I tried verifying files and reinstalling the game but it didn't help.

EDIT: Ok so after doing a full run of the base game, it only happens when I play The Cure, not base game.

I have erxactly the same issue, the game is unplayable after The Cure update. Randum crashes with that Unity ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
