And you've changed the resolution to fit your monitor? Can we see a screenshot of the small window you referred to?
Thanks :)
Sorry to hear you are having this issue. Can I ask you to try a couple of things for me to see if we can get you up and running?
- Right click the game in your Steam Library and select properties
- Head over to the Local Files Tab, and select the 'Verify Integrity of Game Files'
- Update your Drivers (VERY IMPORTANT)
- Close Steam and Restart (update if needed)
- Try loading the game again
- Head into the options and set up your chosen resolution
If you find that the issue is still persisting please can you send us in a copy of your log file, as well as a dxdiag, as well as some screenshots please. If you are unsure of how to get this please see below
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard and type dxdiag
- Press Enter and let it do its thing
- Once complete, press the 'Save all information' button
- add that to the email along with the log
- To get the log please see here.
Thanks
Go into help and options

Full Screen
Then, make sure full screen's switched to "Window Mode".
This might not fit all people but it's nice to see my game in full screen for the best experience.
This is done as follows:
1. Run Steam.
2. Right click game in library
3. Go into properties
4. Press the 'Set Launch Options' button
5. Enter:
-resolution-width=800 -resolution-height=600
Then press 'OK'. This will save if you enter the options menu and exit.
6. Run the game. It should start in the lower resolution. Once it loads change the game resolution by going to 'Options' then 'Video'.
7. If this works fine you need to clear the launch options. Tab out of the game to Steam.
8. Right click game in library, Go into properties, press the 'Set Launch Options' button and delete the information you added and press OK.
9. Tab back to the game and enjoy!
Let us know if this does not work for you.
Yes, I actually did that, and used the resolution settings that I use for most of my other games, and it still didn't work. But for some reason, after I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, the problem has gone away. So for now, it seems the issue is resolved. Thanks for your reply!
