Beta Build - Evolution 15 - Multiplayer VS. mode!

WARNING - Beta builds are not fully tested and should only be used by people who are OK with the near certainty of encountering bugs. If you just want to play the game - please wait until we release the Evolution formally.

We've been working extremely hard on multiplayer and we are now holding a public beta test! We are still working - making polish and balance tweaks and your feedback is extremely helpful in getting the game ready for launch - so please send in lots of information letting us know how you find it :)

To get the beta version of the game, right click on the game's name in your Library, select 'Properties' then the 'Betas' tab and then enter the code 'plaguempfinally11' to get access. You can then select the beta called ""publicbetamp"" from the dropdown list in this tab.

FYI - player numbers will be lower during the Beta than when we actually launch, so if matchmaking is going a little slow for you, get a friend to play a private match with you.

Some questions:

• How good do you think you are at the game?
  
• Is there anything in the game that you don't understand?
  
• Is there anything you think we should change or add?

If you have any technical / lag issues - please immediately get the log (instructions here) and send it to us at [e-mail] (playing a new game will overwrite it).

Multiplayer beta don't run on fedora 21 64-bit. Is the beta windows exclusive?

I'm on Debian Jessie 64 Bit and the beta isn't working for me either, so I guess I'm either too stupid to do it correctly or the beta is really Windows only.

Single player broken in the new beta?

It would appear you cannot infect people playing as a Parasite in the new beta. I've played multiplayer with a few friends and that works fine. But now I fired up single player on Parasite/Mega Brutal and I'm stuck at 5 people for a year. In spite of having the infectivity bar up to about 70%. The only thing that increased infectivity was Festival of Love, that brought it up to 30 people and then it was stuck at that point.
