Parasite - Mutualism/Symbiosis? - Alternative obectives of the plagues

So I picked up this game a while back, and haven't really been able to invest too much time into it yet - let alone the community and discussions.
Still, a brief search didn't yield any results as to answering my query, and if there are other venues where similar thoughts are vented then I would be more than prepared to see this thread sink into the abyss that is the dark side of forgotten forum threads.
That aside, I couldn't help but to ponder different ways that the plagues could/should differentiate from each other, and I got stuck on "objectives".
Now - what would you guys think of a way to make the parasite more like the Neurax Worm or Necroa Virus, in that there is an "alternate" objective (or mode of achieving the objective, whatever floats your boat.
While playing parasite I found myself missing the "options" that had made the Neurax worm and Necroa virus fun. I guess I wanted a way to introduce more of a symbiotic relationship with humanity. Perhaps as a way of "enslaving" humanity, or prevent the cure, or anything really.

Perhaps a way of strengthening the humans I infest in some way, or making them depend upon my parasite in another way.

Here's the query in short, then. Would an ending that said "Congratulations, humanity is now entirely dependent on [your parasite]. Any attempts to cure it have been stopped, and humanity enters a new stage in their evolution with [your parasite] as their lifeline" (Or something along those lines) feel rewarding to you?

Would you be interested in different ways of winning the game with different plagues, or is it the transmission -> symptoms -> "sneaky horribly sudden death" that people feel the game should be about?

Yes, i think the Neurax worm's winning condition would be to enslave humanity not kill it but killing it should another condition. I also think the story for the Neurax would make more sense and be a better story if the worms were sentinent aliens from space trying to enslave humanity.

Some diseases already have this - its on the ideas list to add more but no promises ;)
