How to Greenland without boats?

I remember beating the scenario of the game without ship transportation in the mobile version of the game but I don't remember exactly how I did it. Anybody have some tips? I'm so close to beating the boubonic plague scenario but Norway's ports are closed and maybe there's a bit of hope to getting this god forsaken country. Any suggestions? D;

Extreme Bioaerosol has a chance to catch island nations from nearby landmasses.

The final pick in the other two lines (Hemo- and Zo-) both have a chance to spawn an event that infect a random nation (uninfected are priority so it's best to wait til you only have one left to snag it), but will only happen once during a game that I have seen.

There's a random event from cure research that can cause a nation to get infected by the plague escaping the lab.

All in all, it's easiest to infect via Water/Air/Bioaerosol than any other transmission type (one of my few gripes about the game is in the inequality in transmission lines making Air/Water pretty much a "must have" because of the way the map is set up and 100% extermination being required to win).

Ahh alright. Cool. I ended up losing the game because of that darn island again. heh

I played another game after and leveled up the Extreme Zoology and ended up starting a random event that infected Greenland. Infection by non-human contact. Got lucky and won :D

Anywho, thanks for the tip! I didn't know that Extreme Bioaerosol will start up an event. Thank you so much. It'll help me out in the future for sure

Extreme Bioaerosol doesn't start an event so much as just seems to unlock land transmission to islands. I've never had an event popup from it but I have seen islands with closed harbors suddenly infected.

make sure your animal infection rate is maximum, then livestock and/or birds will bring it over

Only once by a triggered event. If you miss more than one island before harbors close, you've got problems.

Right now going Water/Air early and getting Extreme Bioaersol is the best way to avoid this situation.

Can't deal with Pirate Plague on Bacteria/Bio-weapon/Virus, Impossible to infect Greenland or let virus get away from it.

Try starting in russia as it sends ships to Greenland the other possibilty is Norway but that a rich coutry which means harder start.
