Bio-Weapon is on a different indirect timer. Bio-Weapons ramp up lethality non-stop regardless of gene choices and will start killing hosts quicker than it infects new ones if you don't prevent that quick enough. There are a few Bio-Weapon specific traits like the one to suppress lethal genes, gives you a negative lethality modifier once but it's large enough to buy you time. Not much else to say, focus on transmission until all humans are infected then ramp up lethality before the cure is found.
The anhilate gene, it works perfect for World-oblideration however you have to unlock all supression genes in the abilities.
