Is it worth buying into
Liked the flash game, haven't played the mobile version. Is it worth the 15$? I have to admit, the price is a little off putting (Jumping into the whole mobile game port scene(which I don't like), why is a .99 cent iOS game suddenly 10$ on pc?), but I'm open minded, if it's good.

How much of a game is there? Is it just "Pay 15 dollars to watch the game play itself while you pick some variables from time to time"

Well, that last line, that kinda what Virus games are.

You just watch the virus do it's work while you change a few things.

Anyway, read the entire store page, and the FAQ, there is where you'll find your answers.

Personally, for me, this is definitely worth a buy.

No. it's an ultimate game that you create a plague and IF you reach top of leaderboard....the creator of this game will sell your idea to the Government and you will get alot of $$$$$$$$. you pay $15 now and you get like $1000000000000 later.it really my kind of deal.

I personally feel that it's worth it. I put a ton of time into the iOS version and I still enjoy spending ours in this game. Additionally, this games doesn't feel like a mobile port. The dev did a great job changing menus and the HUD to be more friendly for PC gamers. And this game does, in fact, have quite a bit of strategy. It is not a "set-it-and-forget-it" game. There's lots of replay value as well. I highly recommend that you at least watch videos, if not download the app yourself to try. I find that this version is worth the $15. But, hey, that's just me.
It's pretty entertaining in a morbid sort of way. It's interesting to change symptoms and transmission vectors each time. Looking forward to seeing the game developed further.

I'd consider it for sure. Plague Inc: Evolved includes all of the in-app (DLC) purchases the iOS game offered. The iOS game plus all in-app purchases is equal to $28.8 without tax, so you're getting the $35 worth of content you'd be paying for if you bought all of the iOS stuff, plus the extra added Steam features, and you're helping the devs develop an amazing game. Worth it for sure.

If this is true you need to create a new topic and pin it! As showing that the steam version works out $20 cheaper will surely shut the endless (waste of space), repeated, and repeated again, topics of "you can get this free on phone blah blah"

A lot of those IAPs will be 'Unlock this feature right now instead of playing the game!' and shouldn't be included in the '$X worth of content for $15' spiel.

Confirming this by loading up the game on my tablet: "You can discover all these genes - just by playing the game. If you want though - you can pay to unlock them instantly!" And that's a good £5.49 on the app store just to unlock that one feature faster. The only required purchases are the base game and the three expansions.

Which three expansions? In the iOS, I only paid for the base game, and unlocked everything the game had to offer by playing it. I personally think the PC version will be worth it. It has so much potential, expecially with Multi/Co-op options. It's only in Alpha right now, which means there can be alot to come.

Scenarios (only two are free), the Neurax worm and the Necroa virus are the three expansions you've got to pay for as far as I can tell.
