no one of theese guys in this forum read the game description and the things that will be added. Its steam forum, all just flame first:)
Ehh, it tells me some of it, but of I'd like to know what's currently implemented and whats not. (and whether these features actually work well)
-7 plague types instead of 3 (10 even if you count the cheat plagues, some play quite differently, eg. bioweapon automatically increasing lethality and having you race to infect before it becomes too deadly)
-Plague types and effects have to be unlocked increasing replayability a lot
-more "action" in game (clicking some bubbles not just waiting for evolution)
-more evolution options, every type of plage has a unique ability (marginal difference to pandemic though)
-better graphics...;)
-less frustration, it's way easier to spread to madagascar, greenland etc., you can chose in which country you want to begin instead of having to restart
-some funny news lines (marginal difference)
-plague combos and in-game events (another marginal difference IMO)
So the bottom line IMO is
Plague Inc., at least at the moment is more or less Pandemic 2, the differences are marginal. If you're hesitating or expecting a way different game, better stay with Pandemic. Nevertheless - the game is early access and some of the features, which are already visible in the game (like multiplayer) sure look promising. When in doubt better wait for the final release, but that's what early access usually is about...;)
That's what it appears to be when I looked at what was available on the main page. Granted pandemic is a pretty basic program, this game looks like a decent interface addition to the main flash game.
