Need to have Steam running to play
I've seen a few other people with this same issue, can anyone help please?

that is common for early access, because steam is collecting date such as play time, and crash reports.

also due to multiplayer options it might be always online required. we will find out more when the game is live but for now expect it to require steam early access peeking software.

I didn't get your point, but maybe I didn't made mine clear.
I can't play, the game sends me a message saying that I need Steam running to play, to close the game, run Steam and try again, but I obviously have Steam running, any ideas?

i feel doubly screwed for not using the money to just buy everything on the android version, instead of on this game that doesn't work

Don't be a drama queen. Stuff like this happens in Early Access, sometimes. Contact the devs, be patient, and it'll get resolved. Acting like you're being "screwed" just makes you look really impatient. It's not a good way to look in public.

Working hard to get this fixed but need your help. Can anyone who has this issue please send me the output_log.txt:

Finding the output_log.txt

- In the Steam Client on the Library tab Right click Plague Inc:Evolved.
- Click properties. Then click the local files tabs and then the browse local files button.
- This will open an explorer window, open the PlagueIncEvolved_Data folder.
- Copy and paste the output_log.txt to your desktop.
- Attach this file to an email and send to steamsupport@ndemiccreations.com

I couldn't find any log, checked everything on the game's folder and I don't have any output log. What do I do then?
Im having the same problem i wanted to try this game looked diff but wateva cant play it

Try restarting Steam. That worked for me after my first install. I know thats a bit peculiar, but it might be that easy for you too. Its worth a shot?
I did. Error in output_log.txt

Fallback handler could not load library E:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/PlagueInc/PlagueIncEvolved_Data/Mono/libE:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/PlagueInc/PlagueIncEvolved_Data/Plugins/SteamworksNative.dll
Could not load a dll file. Make sure that the steam_api.dll/libsteam_api.dylib file is placed at the correct location. See the documentation for more info.
