my ideas:
-if done in a controlled country it will instantly drop your authority to zero (game over)
-if done in an country with total anarchy you could have masive drop of non complience but also quite massive drop of authorithy due to massive death caused. if the country also have high infections this will also benefit to decrease infection rate (at the cost of death)
- if there is cure mode for necroa virus obviosuly having the zombies shot has zero effect to you authority points
other ideas: have the options to burn corpses to reduce infection in country with high death rate
1. Load the game from a save file
2. Original play-through: Saved the world from bio-weapon with only one continent screwed up.
3. Replay: The entire world is devastated.
:)
Would it not be a pretty nice idea if you have to defend against random much plagues which could also merge in some cases together into a combined plague or aftermaths, for ultimate chaos? (For example, the plague starts like a very contagious bacteria which evolves with an inconspicuous fungus into a killer fungus. Or a virus which is not lethal but could impede the science and creation of vaccines while you fighting against an aggressive other plague.)
For this it's needed to adapt all the menus, graphics, techtrees to show every plague impact separately. It would also be a good idea to decrease the time speed, to give the player the chance to counteract the plagues. I think a winning end Date could also maybe, be a good idea for this mode.
Some Ideas for plague interactions or combos:
-a imunesystem weakening plague with a weak waterspreading but letal plague
-a nanovirus which destroyes vacinefactories and science progress with a parasite which slowly kills
-a neurax worm mutated with a virus to a braindestroying plague and combining it's evolved abilities and traits.
-a fungal which get in symbiosis with a virus
The mutations and evolvements need to be firstly local where the evolution happens and need to spread as well maybe.(It gives the player more time to isolate the combined plagues.) Every plague needs to be discovered, where it occur what traits and abilities they have.
If you could develop this mode, the game also becomes a game which could be played more often and has a wide play fun and challenge again and again.
1. Develop vaccines of multiple plague or focus on one single plague first
2. Build cure labs in specific countries (just like co-op mode) or no lab at all
Because of multiple plagues, players should be able to receive more funds than usual.
As for authority, I think one authority bar for one kind of plague is more realistic than just give player more authority. And if players handle with a kind of plague perfectly, authority of other kinds of plagues should be increased. Players shouldn't be able to see authority bar for a specific plague until the plague is detected.
The effect of quarantine initiatives should be work for all plagues, however I have no idea how should response initiatives and operation initiatives work.
Operatives in Multiple Plagues (The Cure s Mode)
I think it would be a idea if there are operatives which have funktions as:
-controling the outbreak (Outbreak Intelligence Unit)
-help with disease surveillance and response (Field Operatives )
-find and analysing the plagues (Field Operatives or maybe a new Unit)
-kill infected (Enforcer Operatives)
-lower the protests (Peacekeeper Operatives)
-lower the Fatality rate (Field Operatives or maybe a new Unit)
Governments in Multiple Plagues (The Cure s Mode)
If it's a diplomatic or autocratic government the population will react different against lockdowns or fakenews.... Diplomatic ruled governments will have more problems with keeping the peace in their countries when people die.
Traits in Multiple Plagues (The Cure s Mode)
Traits maybe need to be unlocked for every continent. Or maybe with a draining funding effekt, because it would be much too strong against multiple Plagues to unlock 1 trait and leave it till the end of the game. Following traits could get unlocked and stay unlocked even the previous trait got deactivated. Upgreaded traits could stay in one field but change the colour for example. There could be traits which lower the impact of plagues and lower the revolt risk because of it, but not help with the cause.
Experts in Multiple Plagues (The Cure s Mode)
Experts could be traits against each specific plague (Expert for bacteria...). The effekt of experts for a specific plague could be, that analyse operatives are more effektive in the detection of the plague traits and help with the research of a specific cure.
2. on authority- it IS very broken in fungus mode even on normal- you can go from 100 to zero in mere minutes of gameplay at slowest speed! That's AFTER dealing with blooms, setting up infection processes and healthcare including the fungus/respiratory ones! Lockdowns are fairly useless- understandable for the mode- and I don't see how you can afford them anyway. If you need the vaccine in this mode it sems super difficult as I'd also got most of the vaccine benefits quite early but it was still 81days+ distribution away.
It's broken as authority is just a constant minus minus minus pretty much every second. Faster even than reading speed!
