Impossible, mega brutal bacteria no pre game genes

It seems to be impossible to win in mega brutal without specific starter genes.
Why so impossible?
Pay wall to force players to pay for bonuses?
I can't find any guidance on how to get specific starter genes and I'm not gutting any of the starter genes required to follow any of the guides.

I won bacteria in all other difficulties.
I've only got 7 genes unlocked none of which are mentioned in any guide and I still haven't gotten a gene for the 5th slot.

You make no sense, how is there a paywall when there's nothing to buy?

As for unlocking genes, they are granted every time you win on normal. How is it not obvious to you how to game the system?

Make a save game just before you win, complete it, get unlocks, reload save, win, repeat. You can have have every gene unlocked with just 1 save game and a couple of minutes reloading it until you have them all.

And the gene unlocks aren't required to win, they just make it easier and help improve your score, just following the basic outline will win even if it's not the best rating

this does not work. when you save the game automatically deletes your save as soon as you complete the game.

I've beaten it many times on normal but it's not unlocking anything.
(well anything new after the first 7 genes)
it's like you need to get certain combos or something to unlock new genes but I can't find any guides on what combos to do or how to do them that unlock certain genes.
perhaps it's just a lot different on mobile than on pc.

I'm not gutting any of the starter genes < this but I can Pay to unlock all genes.
I'm not getting any new genes by simply beating the game.
also I'm on mobile so that might clear up some of the confusion because you can't do the save just before winning load process to unlock genes on phone.

thanks for the achievement guide though. that might actually be useful.

it is when you don't have the right starter genes.
try beating mega brutal without using any starter genes. I bet you most likely wont be able to do it.
maybe if your lucky but not repeatable.
if you can please point me to a guide that uses no genes and beats mega brutal every time.

I unlocked all the genes that way and I've already gotten max ratings on everything in mega brutal, and yes i can beat them all in mega brutal with no genes, the genes just help you do better and max the ratings

everything posted works in the steam version, if you're trying to ask about some other version, you're in the wrong forum

I was hoping the versions wouldn't be too drastically different.
I've followed some guides to beating it on normal guaranteed every time and I've followed some that work but doing the same thing over and over on normal hasn't been netting me new genes that's what was confusing me.

perhaps you have to do virus on normal to unlock some genes and stuff like that.
they can't all be unlocked doing the same thing but if they can maybe my game is just bugged or something.

it is mobile not steam version and the save reload chain certainly does not work on mobile besides the way the game saves and loads I was hoping there wouldn't be too much difference between the two.
