The cure mode is just too hard
I've tried this like 4 times but always fail to do so,some effects don't make any sense and I think there too many holes here,it's too complicated

I agree. Here are what my graphs and stats looked like for the Bacteria infection: https://prnt.sc/xvi90t

And yet I kept bleeding Authority no matter what I did, and even though I had a ton of upgrades on infection and mortality reduction, both were below 20% as can be seen from graph above, and the vaccine was already in production, had 3 upgrades on furlough, I'm apparently still not a sufficiently able world leader. Normal difficulty feels like Brutal indeed. This DLC so far is pretty bad.

Managed to win it by completely ignoring lockdowns and border controls and focusing solely on infection & mortality reduction and vaccine upgrades early on. The only time I used border control was when Greenland got a more infectious strain of the virus, I applied maritime lockdown on North America to stop it from leaving Greenland.

"Politicians are vaguely competent." Sounds about right.

I avoided using quarantines entirely, accepted that there were people that were going to die and focused on research and treatment.

Been able to beat Bacteria on Normal and Brutal. Mega Brutal is giving me some issues. Just seems like when I get to a certain point, Authority just tanks no matter what I do.

Sounds like you guys just find anything that doesn't fit incredibly simplistic "boost infection rate avoid symptoms then unleash symptoms all at once" formula that the base game had too hard. Unlike the base game there are actually multiple strategies you can take depending on the disease and the situation. This DLC was clearly inspired by Rebel Inc and I think it's better than both of the base games in terms of design.

There is a difference between a difficult game and an unbalanced mechanic. Why is the only way to gain authority back to pay for it? Only drains funds that could be used to fix the reason for the fast downfall instead.
And which strategies for the Virus as example? Max. mortality reduction gets the nations pi***d about infection number, max infection prevention gets them b****ing about deathrates, a combination of both is too inefficient and lockdowns drain authority way too fast to finish that scenario.

Fungus seems impossible. I've even tried following videos but the game doesn't function the same as what I'm watching. I can do the same build as they do and in the videos the authority keeps going back up randomly, but when I'm playing the authority just keeps going down and nothing brings it back up, ever

I had no problem with the bacteria and virus, but fungus just tanks authority and I lose. Been playing all day and while I beat bacteria and virus within just a couple of attempts, fungus I'm on my 12th try and just near instant loss every time.

Fungus is quit easy TBH, you need to target infection not fatality and make good use of your investigation team.

Make sure people self isolate and put all places where the fungus hits in lock down (The pad lock), track and trace app is a massive game changer.

If the fungus starts travelling by plane and boat you have lost control and need to start over.

:biohazard:
I've done this, and my infection rates are low, lower than what they were with bacteria and virus. And it just doesn't matter, the authority just drains even while the fungus appears to be under control, not spreading terribly and my vaccine is being developed at a steady rate.

The world just nopes out of it and tosses my authority.

If you go to the cure screen, it's tells you at the bottom why you are losing authority.

I max out my authority and only use Lock down. I only drop to around 40 authority before it holds steady.

Once infection rates are under control you can stop lock downs.

I've got to agree with the people that say difficulty isn't balanced.

I got my butt kicked on normal after doing the tutorial. So I tried casual, and there's no difficulty. The bacteria barely didn't die out on its own. With an adviser I was able to beat normal bacteria than virus. Took a few tries at fungus. I did better when I tried using the continental lockdown options. But fungus in the main game has a bloom mechanic that can infect anywhere.

That's not useful information when it's just "panic"

Like I said, I can follow every piece of advice given and the panic never stops going up to drop authority no matter what else is researched

Panic is based on infection rates, higher the infection rates = more panic. You can totally stop panic if you use forced lock down or invest in anti infection responses. Track and trace helps with this to.

On the world map look at the infection rate %, if it's crazy high with lots of places infected, panic will end you very fast.

Nothing you've suggested makes the slightest bit of difference. I've tried this and it simply doesn't matter. Nothing lets my authority go back up. Even when the infection rate is low, lethal rates been reduced and most of the world is in compliance I'm sitting at a 76% cure vaccine completion and my authority rating is dropping from panic whether the world is in quarantine or not, even with the research that increases compliance

I can't beat Nano virus at all. Even following guides. Something feels off... Did anyone beat Nano virus?
yoyounreal 2021 年 1 月 30 日 下午 3:44
Same here. I've been throwing all kinds of strategies at the nanovirus and I keep losing.

to be fair on the side of the developers the dlc has just launched and there probably will be a couple of patches soon to balance it.
