Cure Mode: Fungus is 100.0% impossible.
You obviously never intended anyone to ever complete this! I bet you didn't even the other plague types - prion, parasite, nanovirus and bio weapon to the game and just made fungus a roadblock to prevent players from getting to content you didn't make or if you did make it how could we know? We can't even get to them.

It is 100.0% impossible to slow the spread of a fungus in cure mode, which is weird because most players who play the fungus (infect mode) the first time round can't even figure out how to leave their starting country until after 6 months of game time. You evolve bird transmission.

The filters and fungicide as far as i can see do absolutely nothing. Fungus spread is inevitable. Every country is infected within 3 months and it doesn't matter how high you make the survival rate or research the cure, authority vanishes so fast because you can do absolutely nothing to slow the spread! Quarantine is worthless against fungus.

Maybe you should perform the most basic game testing before release. That last sentence is just advice, follow it or don't follow it. Just making this a working game please, because it so much potential to be brilliant.

But have you actually tried picking up filters and fungicide?
I think filters reduce the rate at which fungal spores happens, while fungicide resets the bonus infection and lethality rate(this is hard coded, so it won't show the preview, but after picking the trait up and wait a few days the level will reset to an acceptable amount).
I thought the description was very clear.

I feel like they ramped up the difficulty since I last played the beta in December.
I could do brutal no problem in that beta, but now I can barely beat normal.
The key is using lockdown in a smart way, as it cost not a lot but it significantly reduce infectivity such that the number of cases is actually going down. Lockdown doesn't cost anything except the initial alert, because you can always get the money back.
The key is use it when not too many people are infected, but cases exists in multiple countries so that people will actually comply.

-Tries to do that, alot of countries riot.

So with fungus you can either lose by death / infection, or riots!
Winning ? no.

If you're having trouble with Cure disease types, why not join our discord: https://discord.gg/ndemic and drop into the #pi-help channel, lots of our players have shared their best strategies for beating disease types, including Fungus!

It's definitely beat-able!

You need to lockdown while a few countries has cases, that way people will actually comply.
One to two levels of economic relief might also help.
If you lost too much authority from non-compliance, you can remove the lockdown to gain those authority back.

Impossible.
Analysis too slow, fungus spread too quick.
Devs need to nerf the spreading speed, buff the analysis speed WAY UP and decrease infection rate.

I think you're fundamentally missing a point. If someone's willing to join your discord to discuss strategy, that's your hardcore fanbase. For 99.9% of players, they're struggling and telling you its too hard.

The real question isn't "is this too hard", it's "is this not fun". I think the answer is yes, it's frustrating because it's too hard to the point of not wanting to play.

Having a dedicated fanbase who CAN complete it doesn't suddenly make it ok, especially when Fungus gates the majority of the content. I'm struggling to even come close to winning on normal difficulty and I have all the achievements upto the Cure update, so I'm pretty ofay with the game and how it works. A nerf is certainly something to think about.

Why not join "en-masse" / raid their discord server and complain so much they FINALLY notice ?

Since people have started to complain about the fungus, Ndemic has gone silent like nothing's wrong.

Because I don't really care enough to do so. I'm assuming they want feedback, so I'm giving it, but I have a plethora of games to be playing whilst the kinks get ironed out on this.

How did you manage to completely ignore the fact a developer had literally posted in this thread and suggested where to go to discuss it further while simultaneously claiming they are ignoring it and gone silent?

Yooo I made a whole new strat for it bois! Practically, just force lockdown every continent (just force lockdown, no need the other ones), don't forget to pick up the national outbreak advisor, then work on the non compliance (take the filter first), after the economy is maxed out, take 1 spore reset, then rush until u get new infrastructure, then get the PPE upgrades + mask wearing. Start vaccine, then focus on fatality. After that, focus on cure (get the per country funding around this phase) and ur done basically. Advisors: fast analysis, national outbreak, reduce infectivity globally, EMT reduce authority loss, and reduce panic (sorry I don't know the names of the traits or the advisors, I hope this helps!)
