There is a video game version of Pandemic even available on Steam (not tried the video game version but I've enjoyed the board game version).

Here's another disease game, Bio Inc Redemption, which involves both killing & curing, but it's individual patients instead of global. I find it fun, but it can be laggy and buggy, especially on the last level for each campaign.
