Question about cheats not unlocking

I have beaten every disease type on normal (including specials) and the cheats still have the lock around them. Can anyone offer advice?

Update:
The statistics screen says 92% disease types unlocked, but I have all 11 completed with the bio symbol next to them.

Similar problem, I've definitively beat every disease type on normal, and the cheats that it SAYS unlock after doing them all on normal are not unlocked. It does say that 100% of diseases are unlocked though for me.

same here 100% of diseases are unlocked and i did all on normal , i am not sure about this but i did bio on brutal when the cheat did not unlock so i try and did it on normal , but still the cheat is locked

Did all of them (I think) on Mega Brutal and nothing unlocked. No Disease Master achieve either... % Disease Types Unlocked says 92% in stats but plagues say 100% unlocked when making a new game. I'm at a loss as to whether its a bug or I'm missing something stupid.

Sorry to hear you all may be having this issue. If you could all do us a favour and complete a game on Mega Brutal, quit the game and grab the log for us. We can then have a look through and see if there is anything unusual going on. If you are unsure of how to get the log, please see here.

I am having this same problem where my disease type is all completed on mega brutal but the statistic page still says 92% completed. i followed that instruction and sent an email with my output log.

Ndemic got back to me in an email. They said, "I have also logged this as an issue and we will be investigating accordingly. Should we find something we will look to get a fix out as soon as possible". Not sure how long a fix will take, but I would send them log files to help the process.

I have no idea what the problem is, but I'm going to point out that

11 / (11 + 1) = 0.91666 which rounds up to ~92%

This either means that there's a bug in their code that either has a counter wrongly initialized or does some math wrong OR there's another disease it is considering but is not available to you

10 / 11 = ‭0.9090
and
12/13 = 0.92307 (so this could be it too)

but I'm thinking it's more likely that the 92% you're getting is a result of a 11/12 division

This makes a lot of sense. There are only 11 types but maybe they're gearing up for another type to release soon and it's screwing up the calculations.

I also emailed Ndemic with my log file and they haven't responded yet. I have also defeated every plague on Brutal now with 4 on Mega Brutal and still no change.

and where exactly is this stats.ini file located in the steam folders?

I just did a search of my entire machine there is no stats.ini anywhere. Not where steam stores the game, not in the appdata folder for the game, and not in the installation directory.

In fact there isn't one anywhere. So not sure whats up with that.

Not sure if others have the same experience but as far as I can tell Disease Master Achievement seems broken (at least for me).

I have Bacteria, Virus, Fungus, Parasite, Prion, Nano-Virus, Bioweapon, Neurax, Necroa, Simian, and Vampire Master achieves... yet disease master never triggered. Maybe related to the same issue that isn't unlocking the cheats?

Same here, can't find the stats.ini anywhere in the steam or game folder. i also do not have the disease master achievement while having the others.

An old forum post by Ndemic mentions going to %appdata%/Local/Ndemic Creations/Plague Inc. Evolved to find Stats.ini; it's not there on my system, nor in the main application folder, nor in Documents/My Games or anything like that. There's no Stats.ini anymore in the current build apparently, though possibly on Linux systems, not Windows.

In short: there's no work around, sounds like they broke the cheat codes on accident during the recent update. It's a shame, because I was working towards basically just getting the cheats so I could mess around more freely in-game, but now I will probably just stop playing until it's fixed.

Update: they did email me back, it went to my spam folder for some reason. Their response:

Sorry to hear you are having this issue. We have had a couple of reports of this recently and are actively investigating the problem. As soon as we are able to identify the problem we will look to get a fix released asap.

So they're aware of it at this point and trying to figure out why. Next steps would be developing a patch to fix the bug, then releasing it, so we're just going to have to sit tight.
