Ring Around the Roses Has Nothing to do with the Plague
When that girl sings that, I find it really annoying! Plus it's not even "ashes, ashes" it's "a tissue, a tissue".

"Ashes, ashes" is sung in some regions, while "A tissue, a tissue" is sung in others. In others, they sing "achoo, achoo" or "atishoo, atishoo".

And no one is really sure what the song is about. It may be an innocent children's rhyme, nothing more. It may be related to Paga rituals involving flowers and rose bushes. It may be about the Great Plague, it may be about the Black( Plague) Death. It may be about none of them, just growing its own "legend" over a century or 2 of recitation.

Unless you are the one who authored it, and you traveled through time to debunk all of the most common and popular takes on the song and the children's game... shut up. You do not know for sure which one it is.

And p.s.- in some places the song is "Ring Around A Rosie" or "Ring O' Ring O' Rosie" or even "Ring A Ring O' Roses".

Do more than read Wikipedia and lock in on one or two lines on the page kiddo.

I've read multiple articles about it and I know the song has different names and different lyrics, but why did they even include the song into the game?

The game is called Plague Inc.: Evolved.
Pretty simple idea- since most people associate the song/rhyme/children's game with The Great Plague or Black Plague, the connection is pretty obvious. Most people hear that song and immediately think of people getting sick and falling over dead.

Which is kind of the concept and point of the game. Plague. You try to kill the entire world by infecting them. Pertty simple concept.

Seriously, how can the connection not be seen here? Don't ever try to get a job in Marketing or Sales. Anywhere.

I just mean why was the song added, even though there are multiple sources saying it's not related to it at all? This is just spreading more possible historical inaccuracies.

It is a VIDEO GAME, not the Encyclopedia Brittanica. If you rely on video games to teach you world history... you have bigger issues than I first imagined. Same goes for anyone who thinks video games are where the world goes or should go to learn about history or REALITY in any way, shape or form.

Stop worrying about video games being factually inaccurate. They are GAMES, not educational resources.

Start worrying about the world education systems that have people like you thinking that video games are where the world goes to learn history.

I'm not saying video games should teach history, just people should stop spreading lies as well known facts of truth. It's not my fault school doesn't teach people factually right from wrong and just goes with what's been taught for decades.

More importantly where are the Benelux nations? So inaccurate!
