anyone else find winning with vampires to be impossible?

If you look in the discussions, you will find a strategy that works well. The players don't find it hard when they use it.

OK I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ QUIT. IM DONE. the cure is bugged and SPEEDS UP with each base you kill. WTF is up with that. it literally makes it IMPOSSIBLE to win... you get to the last base and kill it. cure goes to 1005 and there is NO WAY AT ALL to reset the stupid thing... it is 100% impossible to win. i have tried 20 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times even using tips from others. it is bugged and broken and completly unwinnable

Look deeper on the forum. I have played it with infinite dna so i don't know, but the other players didn't seem to have difficulties to win, if they start like you will read on their posts.

i managed to win as them... was hard as ♥♥♥♥ tho. basically had to remain hidden till the reaserch on teh cure started then attack every single lab and kill them before teh templars arrived. then after shadow slaves was completed the cure was easy to stop once templars where all dead.

somone said that you feed early on to gain points and rush templars to spawn... ♥♥♥♥ no. the cure completes so fast it is game over by the time the last templar is standing

Don't start the plague immediately. As said in the mega brutal walkthrough, you can destroy Greenland and Iceland just with blood rage. Max out blood rage and then destroy all the templars. If you need to heal, blood rage after destroying the base. If you're low on health and the base isn't going down, go to the neighboring country and blood rage. Do this until the templars are destroyed. Then get lots of DNA. You should then release the shadow plague and soup it up to be the ultimate plague.

that didnt work for me. i had to start plague and make the cure happen first. then kill off teh labs that spawned. it made teh templars spawn late enough i had all th eanti cures and maxed rage

Bro, it's quite easy to win, but not on brutal difficulty.

Here's a tip, only have ONE vampire lord. Max out the transmission abilities with him ASAP. Max out his ability to travel. (This is after making the disease spreadable, but do not put anything else into it just yet)

Go from country to country, infecting the populace. Make sure you have the one needed lair up. From there, as soon as you see news about a blood cult in that country you're in, move. Rinse and reapeat. The labs are what speed up the cure research speed. Take them down first. Max outyour damage with rage, and attack the first base that pops up.

You should basically wipe them out before they even get started.

Hey, this is the easiest disease to win on Mega Brutal difficulty. Tips:
- DON'T mutate Shadow Plague disease till ALL templar labs are destroyed and you have +- 500 DNA, and you placed some lairs.
- At the beginning, mutate attack and harvest ppl to get free DNA. You can constantly change country, this should delay the moment you will be spotted. (not sure about this)
- Mutate flying, attack and healing (by harvesting) for your vampire.
- By the time when templars appear, you MUST have all attacks evolved.
- When templars appear, IMMEDIATELY destroy all labs. Use hit and run tactic if they will get too strong - you should heal faster than labs, so eventually you will win.
- After defeating templars, harvest as many DNA points as you wish. Personally i did it with 500.
- STILL DON'T mutate Shadow Plague!
- Now you should mutate lairs and ability to teleport to lair.
- And now, very important thing: place lairs in strategic points on map, at least one on each continent. It will help you with destroying future labs. Protip: it MATTERS where exactly you place it in country.
- If you think you don't have enough DNA to make your disease unstoppable - harvest some more DNA.
- And finally - mutate Shadow Plague. Now it should be quite easy, just teleport to lairs and destroy labs before they will start working, use your vampire to faster infect the world... It's really easy now.

Wait late to this but yeah vampires are BS. I've tried on normal to wipe out Greenland first. Nope. Templars always spawn. Have to get to Blood Ritual stage 4 to beat a brand new Templar base. Hard as balls.
