plague inc evolved won't download

i just bought the game and am really eager to play it, but when i start downloading it it immedialtely puts it in queue because there is something else downloading but there is nothing else downloading.... then when i click play it starts downloading for about 2 secs and then i get an error: "An error occured while downloading Plague Inc: Evolved (corrupt download)"
Pleaseee help mee i really want to play, Thanks in advance!! :D
edit: i have tried changing my download region region and it doesnt seem to work

Restart Steam. And check to make sure your antivirus has not given a flase positive for a possible virus. Norton in partivular has been flagging safe game files as trojans, and a few other AV programs have as well. All false positives, but it will quarantine the installer or some of the required download and istallation files, or game files.

But try restarting Steam first. Steam is always wonky, and has shiped seberal updates in Stable and Beta Client lately, that have made it even wonkier. Sometimes a restart will fix dl and install issues. If not, check your AV quarantine vault. A reboot of your PC won;t hurt either, and may help.

thanks for replying so fast but unfortunately restarting doesnt work and there is nothing in my quarantine vault, for good measure i turned my AV off but still no luck... any further help from anyone would be greatly appreciated btw. no other games have this problem while updating or downloading

Only other suggestion I have is to change the download server location region, in your Steam settings. Might be something jenky with the server that's being pinged for the download. I have only had to do this once, and it was a long time ago, on a much older account. Steam has always had issues like this, sadly. You may have to try several different servers, close or far away and have a slower dl due to latency, but give that a shot. Slow dl is netter than no dl, right?

i had already tried several different regions to no luck, although im glad to say it is downloading now. my solution; i spammed download continiously after the the eroor occurs like 1 sec after pressing download until it downloaded for 10 secs at a time till an error occured and now it hasnt had an error for 2 min so i think the game will launch fine once it is downloaded. Lol! I was just coming back to tell you to clear download cache, because it can get clogged, but neeeeeeevermind. xD

well i also tried that and that also didnt work xd hahaha, its working fine now :D
