Same, came here to try the prologue, but nothing to download

Possibly took it down to tweak from the feed back they received, least I hope so.
It's not avaiable yet... They said it's upcoming prologue. As you see there is no release date on steam store page.

Get used to false advertising, it's a ScamWay (PlayWay) game. Head on over to the Drug Dealer Simulator 1 forums to see what I mean, that game was MASSIVELY falsely advertised by PlayWay for OVER A WEEK after it released. Yes, AFTER it released there was STILL a misleading trailer on the Steam store page that was being used to sell the game under false pretenses that showed things like guns, bongs, strippers, etc, none of which were in the game and some of which (like guns) were in fact intentionally removed, never to be put back into the game from an EXTREMELY early (meaning they should've fixed the trailer LONG before launch) build, yet PlayWay still used that trailer to ILLEGALLY advertise their game.

Oh and they also censor anyone they don't agree with or don't like by banning them from the forums for their games so they can't speak and thus spread vile truths about them. I know, they did it to me. They claimed I threatened to leak the beta password for Drug Dealer Simulator 1, which is something I would NEVER do. That's why they banned me, over something I never actually did, because I was poking inconvenient holes in their half-baked lies and exposing them for the scamming criminals they are, laying out all the evidence in a way that was logical, made sense to anyone with half a brain, and threw their own lies back in their faces and they didn't like that because they couldn't make any sense because their logic was fundamentally flawed and they kept contradicting each other.

So you can buy a ScamWay game if you want (I can't stop you, obviously), dear reader, but I wouldn't. In fact, I haven't purchased a single title from them or anyone affiliated with them in over a year and a half because of Drug Dealer Simulator 1 and how poorly it was mismanaged, with ScamWay being at the forefront of it all, because it was ScamWay employees that wiped whenever the developer took a massive ♥♥♥♥ all over the community that paid for that steaming, lurching, dead-on-arrival dumpster fire.

♥♥♥♥ ScamWay. Watch them delete this post and ban me from this game's forums now too (oooooh scary, ScamWay, ban me from the forums of a game I wasn't planning on buying or playing) which will only validate everything I've said and will prove my points far better than I ever could on my own.

I did have a look over there like Sir Kepi ranted about (had to type PlayWay into the discussions search of that drug dealer game). I actually found some of Sir Kepi's comments on the discussions and saw that they where indeed get banned from there lol)

Saw a lot of people blaming the PlayWay (the publishers) and some people saying it's the dev's fault. (For lack of updates, support, communication and other 'shooting themselves in the feet' stuff). Even though that game still has a lot of positive reviews.

PlayWay seem to have a lot of games coming out under their publishing. They have a heavy hand in what gets made and how it's presented because this article says they have subsidiaries in the form of, you guessed it, game developers.
https://newsletter.gamediscover.co/p/what-playway-should-and-shouldnt

In the past they've released some well rated ones like House Flipper, Contraband Police and Car Simulator.
And they've also released a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥. I mean, even these "good" simulator games, even though highly reviewed, always look jank as ♥♥♥♥ to me. But I know people enjoy that.

The article (while a few years old now) also mentions how they tried to get into crypto-gaming ♥♥♥♥ as well. Sigh**

Unbiased, face-value opinion: Sir Kepi is probably right and truthful from their standpoint.
But they've literally published the same euro-trash simulator games for years lol
I'm not surprised dollar-chasing, fell into the crypto-hole publishers would just drop updates, support and honesty for the sake of a few extra bucks.
I could probably guess the ages of the dudes running the company based on all the above.

Trust your own eyes. Remember Steam has a refund button and that all companies don't care about anything about you. Just what's in your wallet.

And to answer the thread's question: 9 Aug 2023 is currently the next prologue play-date.

Don't worry. Content creators for some reason already have it. Another douche move.
@Rikimaru what does crypto-gaming mean?

I like checking out games before I buy and do not like having to return games after buying (if they suck) - the whole point of downloading a prologue.

Plus, offering something (like a prologue) and then taking it away or not delivering it is a poor way for a company to establish trust with a customer.

Thanks for the explanation as to the current status, although to my recollection, when I first viewed the store page the distinction wasn't that clear - thus my (and others') confusion. And honestly, saying that the game instead of the prologue would be released tomorrow, just added to my confusion. Clarity is king. But I do appreciate your explaining it further in your second post. Thank you. I look forward to trying this out. Thanks again! :steamhappy:
