The override boss text option is to use DLC words/phrases in boss fights (If enabled). The bosses use their own special pool of vanilla words otherwise.
The difficulty setting is somewhat similar to the boss setting in that each difficulty setting has a pool of words for each difficulty. If you enable it, the game will attempt to use easier to harder words/phrases more often depending on your difficulty choice.
Thank you much. I don't think the DLC applies to multiplayer and that's most likely why I couldn't figure out what the options do. Thanks again!
Can you explain further on the final paragraph?
This is of course for the enable "difficulty setting" in the DLC dictionary options. If you have it set off then the game will just randomly throw varying sizes of phrases at you.
To shorten it if you want a more smoother difficulty ramp up.Then enable the difficulty option. Although not 100% sure if it only applies to DLC dictionaries. I haven't figured that out completely.
Mostly just my observation after playing the game a few hours with the settings on/off.
