I want to propose something almost entirely different.

The Typing of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn

Here are my reasons why.
When you think "Arcades" you imagine a place where you can spend a bit of money to play video games exclusive to Arcades, usually using elaborate controllers and such. Some Arcades go as far as hobby shops or near gaming centers but usually Arcades have fun games to play.
In UK where I live, what consist of an "Arcade" in holiday spots are usually gambling machines, such as penny drops taking up most of the area and roulette machines everywhere. Sure arcades do have traditional arcade machines. About 5 of them, from the 2000' and something, way at the far back. Managers of these Arcades treat them as cheap casinos than a place for children and young adults just to spend some cash to play some games. I bet the decent arcades are in London, but I think I've only seen HotD in an arcade once in my life and I can't remember when or where.

So you see my issue is if Scarlet Dawn ever goes international, I doubt I will ever get the oppotunity to ever play it. And this is from where I live, I imagine there are parts in America and other parts in the world that do not have decent arcades for children to young adults to just go and play classic to modern arcade games.

So why do I propose Scarlet Dawn to be a Typing game over just a direct port to Steam? 3 reasons.
  1. Not all Typing of the Dead games are on Steam. I do not know why only Overkill is on steam when there are two other Typing games they could provide. But still by technicality there is more Typing games on Steam than HotD games.
  2. Every game has a time of marketing. As in after a year or so when the game is well played and players move on, the product is only so-much marketable. It's likely Scarlet Dawn will show up online somewhen after it's marketing-era and SEGA would need some form of incensive of sort to guarantee a profitable port. Thus making it a Typing game would grant some renew interest to it than it would if it was just on it's own. But if you rather shoot than type, just like Overkill, you can switch from Typing to House in the menu.
  3. Being a Typing game means it would be more guaranteed for a PC release! Overkill is clear proof of this since Overkill was originally for Wii. Instead of a direct PC port like previous HotD games had, TotD:Overkill was released instead and we wouldn't be having this thread if it wern't for it.

I'm still supportive of what Ossie wants, but if you also think "Typing of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn" would also be ideal, feel free to quote me with that +1.
