I'm pretty sure there's a mode that is the original arcade lightgun version, but you use mouse to shoot zombies instead of a lightgun as, AFAIK, there's no lightguns for PC.
It only contains the arcade Version of Typing of the Dead. With that on-screen keyboard and stuff.
House of the dead is a different game.
"Full and faithful port of the original PS3 edition of HOTD included in game"
pic 1. Right on the main menu you can select regular House of the Dead Overkill. Rightmost selection changes game from Typing to Mouse/cursor shooting. When you click it the upper left reads House of the Dead instead of Typing of the Dead.
pic 2. HotD with mouse aiming, and no typing.

Also 1 and 2 are being remade apparently with nothing being revealed yet. If they're any good let's hope its coming to PC and not just PS4 or PS5 and Switch.
Note "HOTD" not "HOTDO". Or am I missing something? Is there the original HOTD hidden somewhere?
2nd of all if they're talking about House of the Dead Overkill Extended Cut on the PS3, while the directors cut mode was new, the game was originally released on the Wii, and I much prefer the animations from that version
3rd of all if they're not being strict with numbers (like they aren't) technically house of the dead 3 and 4 were on PS3, arguably hotd 4 would be most suitable to prove a statement like that as that game hasn't seen a home release anywhere else
on a side note oh my GOD do I wish they bundled in the first house of the dead as an unlockable bonus
