I havent bought the gog/steam version yet but once I've checked the abandonware version. THe rendering distance in the menu is limited but you can edit the necto.cfg file and set higher number. I've set RENDERDIST and FLATSHADEDIST to 50 in order to see "better" in the game. Though the game gets a little bit more unstable....
