Probably a balancing issue, if the kick ragdolled everything the game would become piss easy like Dark Messiah, which isn't a bad thing but i personally like my melee combat games challenging.
Maybe have a drop-kick ability that goes on cooldown that ragdolls enemies.
while your weapon is sheathed, pressing Dodge followed with the Kick input lets you drop-kick an enemy. the drop-kicked enemy becomes ragdolled and if it impacts one or more enemies as it travels, they also get ragdolled, leaving them prone and needing to stand back up.
look, I have less than 5 hours in the game and I'm already just triple-jumping and dashing around everywhere.
I am a Flying Thunder-God already so early. I've slain the boss at the bottom of the citadel twice in my last 10 minutes of gameplay.
of course, i say this at 2/2/-- difficulty, so I'mma have to crank that up.
the game plays really smoothly and lets me fight in ways I like, bobbing and weaving through enemy swings while completely styling on them
+1000 to everything you said, i might just buy the game outright even if the dropkick never makes it in, i love first person slashers and this one looks great but im still on the fence.
