combat is very bland, atleast at the start
encounter rates seem lowish, which honestly im okay with, but when there is an encounter it seems like it takes 10 basic attacks to kill something at your own level and the "special moves" arent very strong, coromon was atleast engaging

i think the early game needs a re balance to be more engaging, over an hour in and zero fun honestly

Thanks for the feedback. I just merged it into the feedback forum so it is not lost.
We did made the first 2 maps (Valeria and Troutneck ) easy to allow new players to get a hang of it.

Also at the start of the game porbles have low HP and 1 skill so it won't be mega hard from the start

im not saying its hard, im saying its boring, just pressing A 10 times isnt very fun, there is zero reason to block or use the specials at the start especially when the special only does 3 more damage
* We desperately need to be able to set "dont dispel" tags on Porbles, and get a mass dispel button on the dispel station. After collecting 15+ and going for the dispels, its a proper pain trying to sort em out, which to keep and which to dispel. We also need to be able to set this tag from the Porbles menu, and not from the dispel menu.

* Skill books need to show the strength of the taught spell before you teach it, right now its impossible to know if a skill is better or worse than the currently known spell, so you dont know if you should teach it.
Copy / Pasta from my issue related to inputs in review:

- When I start the game the mouse works but nothing else.
- I unplug and re plug my controller and it will then work (most times, sometimes I need to restart).
- Many of the UI elements I can't get to unless I use a mouse (Porble traits, item descriptions).
- I have yet to figure out how to use the keyboard to move the character (space bar jump seems to work).
- On the controller I can only use the Dpad to move, but the thumb stick will change the character facing direction. (I have default layout).

I think the game natural lends itself to the controller, but since I can't seem to figure out how to navigate to certain UI elements I need to use the mouse. I'm kinda stuck with a quasi-Controller / Mouse setup that is awkward.

Hi there

Keyboard
If you go to the settings, you have a mapping of all the keys for the game if using the keyboard controls

Controller
By pressing start, you should be able to access all of the menus (inventory, log, porbles)
and move around them with either directional keys or the stick. When tabs are present LB and RB (or equivalent will allow you to swap between said tabs.

In terms of moving around the stick should let you move not just face a direction.
Does this happen with any of sticks (left and right)

Definitely good ideas we discussed before. I will bring them back to the table
Visual settings please. The game isnt full screen and has black bars.

I found the issue! My mouse (Roccat Tyon Black) was being seen as a controller. I disabled the YInput HID object for my mouse and everything is working much better: https://linustechtips.com/topic/592131-xbox-one-controller-not-working-with-certain-games-in-steam/

This was an issue for several of my other games as well. For other experiencing issues maybe they have keyboards / mice being seen as a controller

OH..... that could be useful. we will look into this and see if we can find a way of avoiding that detection by default as well

Yep on our to do list

Mainly because if we ever want to do a version for other systems we will need to cover multiple resolutions without the bars

Our artist has a wide screen and he reminds us of it multiple times per week lol
I got stuck inside the garden in Silent woods, the one we can unlock after freeing the father and mother and talking to the elder. Not sure how to proceed.

Hi there. would this be the initial gate or the one after the spikes? Or one of the smaller ones afterwards?

Hi there!

The one the elder unlocks so we can access their secret garden. But I just launched the game now and looks like it reverts me back to the portal, which is nice. This can be ignored now.

Only two things; more optimization and/or options to help with lag would be awesome. Otherwise, in the opening, you have the events for showing where Rudder is, or when the camera shows the black cat, as a trigger when you enter the map; when I was told to go to the cat, I instead went right and to the open house and looted that. when I came back out, it repeated the bit with the cat etc.
