Really hard after The Dark Tower

Been playing this game a lot on Amor Games. Now i bought it here and have quickly reached same progress. That means I've ended The Dark Tower.
Now the new levels that opens up, all new to me, are freaking hard. You start with about 500 coins and enemys just keep swarming in. Such a difference in hardness compared to 'old' levels. Anyone done 'em? Which Hero did you use? What to do to get these levels even close to finished?

Did you 3 star the main campaign? If not then maybe try doing those first so you can get as many upgrades as possible. Also do the heroic and iron challenges as they give 1 star each. I'm not sure but I would assume most of the extra missions are meant for players with full upgrades.

I went through them with no problem.Just fully upgrade you're peasants and meteor shower and you're fine.Try different approach.

Did exactly that. Full meteor, full peasants. Have 3 star on all campaign, have the 1s on about half. Still tried and tried to no avail. Simply not generating coins quick enough to keep up with the swarms.
Is any of the new maps easier than others?

I use Elora, and try what the others said, full upgrade your skills, and for me the easier one is Hushwood, then Ruins of Acaroth, then rotten forest/Sarelgaz's and finaly glacial heights.

The original endgame content came with a lightning strike power,extra upgrade stars and 3 villagers per reinforcement.

All I can say is try a different strategy. All but a couple of the extra-campaign levels are easily doable even without all the upgrades. Lean on the OP tesla tower if you have to. Also the frost mage hero is really good for crowd control and extra AOE damage.

whole game on steam is much harder than ios/droid version. i have this and frontiers perfected on ios all achieves and stars and there are wtf moments. this version is not as casual.

upgrade your conscripts to max on the skill tree, it is key...as they gain a ranged attack and you can have up to 4 down at time. Also, finding what hero works best for you is important. As stated above the frost mage is extremely good, crowd control and she can kite extremely well. I try and have 3-4 archer towers fully upgraded with the binding root skill at max (cannot remember actual name, costs 300 initially and then 150 for the rest) the rest of the towers to put down are depending on the level and the wave. Those tesla towers are very nasty! Make sure to get the magic towers that let you summon a elemental, as they are extremely powerful and can block big waves. Hope any of that helped!

I do not understand why you bought the game if you're just going to find walkthroughs and watch what others have done instead of figuring it out yourself. The whole point of the game is trying and failing, figuring out what works best.

I basically broke the game wide open, relying heavily on fully upgraded Tesla towers. NOTHING that's not a huge, huge monster gets by them. Its like printing your own money, in terms of war funds. :)
