lol as if one couldn't balance that out. Pay a fortune just for that one mage tower with death ray or the mortar and then it wastes it. Really awesome.
its a huge investment which changes its efficiency completely randomly. Since there's no fast forward option either its really tiresome.

Sorry if you thought I was trying to be a smartass. When I said you need to think before buying upgrades, I meant there are ways in which to mitigate the problem you have with the towers. As far as I know all towers target the monster that is closest to the finish line. So you can use barracks/reinforcements or even some other towers to influence the flow of monsters so that the death ray, sheep upgrade etc will hit the monsters you want. Also it's been a while since I played the game but I would doubt that any level requires you to use death ray to beat it. You might wannna try some other tactics if you can't beat it.
I at least had huge problems with some missions simply because I was just using one tactic to try and win instead of trying something new.
