Bandit's Lair - Help!

I'm having trouble beating this level. I've looked at online tutorials, and it's not helping, as they're mostly for the online versino of the game. Can someone suggest to me what a good building strategy and hero choice is for this map? I've experimented with only failure.

EDIT: Same problem with Sarelgaz Lair, if you can offer any advice on that level too.

Oh c'mon... you surely know the Golden Rule by now? Tesla Towers at key turns and intersections. Use Elora the Ice Mage for her AoE slow.

I get overrun before I can get Tesla towers...

Mainly Archer Towers (Marksmen Towers) for the bottom line and the back three spots and everywhere else. Occasionally Mage Towers (One Sorcerer at the start where the Bandits Spawn rest can be Archmage Towers) and maybe one Telsa Tower at the start where the Bandits are as well.

Upgrade the to the Telsa as fast as you can (Get their skills too) and then get the Marksmen Tower skills maxed.

That helps. I found mages/teslas are the best combo, with some infantry. The archers don't seem to be worth it, even when fully upgraded in the structure and tech tree.

put many archers and put barracks close to the archers so the knights can stop the enemy while the archers are shooting the enemy and make at least 2 or 3 mage towers to kill the bosses and very strong units

This is the map that really was hard for me. The Secret to Bandit lair is to use at least 2 BERTHA's fully fleshed out. The Tesla Coil, is not robust enough, although I have seen some win that way. The BERTHA's hit the high armored bad guys with more power. After I found this out, It changed from a WTF , to "Chill and watch them die". Your hero wont be even be needed.

Place the 2 Bertha's near the exits. (Where others put Tesla's) After I beat the level, I started to see where I had ignored situations the BERTHA is very good at. I found out that I had "Tesla Coil fascination" Yes I still play this game years later.
