Sunray tower?
I've noticed that this tower is missing from Stormcloud Temple. Is it ever going to be added?

Well... only if enough people would cry Ironhide might further patch KR and KR:F but both games didn't received patches since a long time.

What really needs to be added is the endless level in KR and the two endless levels in KR:Frontiers and KR: Origins.

The Sunray tower would fall under smaller nits in my book which I of course would also welcome.
It was a nice mechanic in the flash KR.

Actually the first KR is such a fragmented game content and mechanic wise (scrolling down till platform differences).

Endless modes would definitely be ideal, but I doubt they'll add it. I think it has something to do with the Gnome Shop.

It was weak reasoning in that regard.
You can get over 50 waves without using any items from the Gnome Shop, in that case it's pretty much irrelevant to the discussion if it would make sense to include the endless levels in the Steam versions because of course it would.

According to the devs the option is evaluated for KR:O and they listen to the feedback in the steam community forum.

They could also add the Gnome Shop items into endless mode but have them on a cooldown (maybe 5-20 depending on the item).

Yes, there are different ideas possible.
For the first step I would personally just prefer the endless levels without anything in addition.
Quiet and simple, without fiddling around other mechanics and balancing.

I'm happy with anything EXCEPT IAPs. I loved playing Rage Valley on KR mobile and got a high score of around 62. It was a blast. The main problem is that I have a feeling the developers won't revisit KR and Frontiers and reimplement the missing content (Sunray Tower and Lightning Bolt for KR 1 are simple features that just make the game that much better).

It wasn't implemented in the mobile version because apparently, it didn't have the hardware to support it. I'm sure the Sunray tower isn't in this version because the Steam version is a port of mobile. They wouldn't take long to implement anyway, but I guess they're just lazy.
