EULA/Personal Data?

It is a single-player visual novel. Why would you need my personal data, beyond taking the payment and providing the download, which is covered by Steam default TOS? Granted, any attempts to connect to the Internet which I and my firewall do not expect will be blocked either way.

2 most likely reasons:
1) it's based on unity, and unity really likes to send "anonymous diagnostics" back - most unity based games don't even have a config option to disable it unless you edit the json.
2) in the spirit of telltale games it seems to give an overview how your choices compared to other players.
