Always waiting for Opponent

When looking for an online match the game repeatedly says "Waiting for Opponent" which i interpret to mean, that my Opponent needs to accept the match. But i have to wait a very long time to get a match, which gets frustrating and kinda drags me away from the game. Are people not accepting or is there something wrong with my game? Im in EU btw

I'm curious if people are actually playing this game myself. I've been in queue for quite some time. I can't even practice combos in the combo trials and stay in matchmaking at the same time. I still have yet to get a match.
