I just refunded for these reasons and it breaks my heart. I loved 1-6, 100%d them, didn't mind putting hours and hours into certain maps. But this one's so frustrating to me. Not only do half the maps not even make me wanna play them (dark, dirty, cluttered, more of the same) it's like you said: I don't feel the fun I felt with all previous games, at least on normal. I don't mind the challenge but there's just sth. about getting an anomaly warning in the first hour of each map as a trained and regular player.
Feels like we've turned from slight paranoia if some object moved or if there might be some creep hiding in a corner to checking if any screen either has that weird naked guy again or counting every single object in a room of 30 to see if any one is missing or moved a centimetre.
It's functioning a lot better. Though I still miss a lot, I can at least find some of the anomalies :) They adjusted it, I believe. So much better.
