Because some people have really bad PCs! :zaglol:
so im guessing this means the requirements are "too heavy" for steam deck?

This game will most likely not be playable of Steam Deck.

Love like SENUA & DILLION ✍️✍️✍️😭💫
No preorder goodies makes no sense for preordering.
excited! with this being a shorter game you guys should create mini world spaces for DLC, stuff that doesn't take years in the making. will help to keep this game alive for along time. alot of dev's don't take into consideration what player want, and its not always DLC that takes 2 years to create.

Those of who that pre-ordered the game should be able to get access 1 or 2 days early. And anyone that pre-ordered should have been allowed to pre-load also.

I have Ryzen 3 3300X CPU and RX 5500 XT 8gb GPU, My specs seems to be in gray area or can someone tell me straight that this pair cannot run Hellblade 2? If not I will probably have to ask for refund.

Mine seems to be in the grey zone as well. First off, this game is going to be very demanding for sure. I don't think alot of older setups are going to be able to handle it. It will be one of the few first qames that really start to require too much for anything less than AM4/I3-5 at the lowest settings. I mean, anyone who played the first on high settings knows full well how intense some of the parts, especially towards the end became on FPS. I have a 5600X with a 3060 and my frames dropped to 11-17fps at that final huge fight right at the end lmao

I highly suspect this game is going to be much more demanding even than that. I think your setup has a chance at 1080p low-medium. Can't say for sure, wish I was more knowledgeable to help you out. I have alot of questions myself. I even tried to get my hands on a 6800 before launch lol but those are pretty well dried up and I'm not risking that kind of money for questionable brands.

With the 5600x and 3060, if I had to compare it to the 1st and make an uneducated, very speculative guess; I would expect about 70-90fps at 1080p high. Considering I was averaging over 100fps in the first on 1080p very high ("ultra"). However on reallly intense parts with lots of particles and crazy effects, my fps would drop pretty heavily. I didn't monitor it the whole time, or always pay attention. Like I said this is speculative and uneducated. But I would bet that I rarely dropped below 60fps on very high 1080p with this setup.

I do expect this sequel to be much more demanding. It looks like it. There's more character interactions. Looks like heavier combat with crazy effects. If it is anything as close to the hype, it is going to be a very graphically demanding game. Sadly phasing out alot of older systems. But that is the future, it is here now and approaching faster and faster. Games are getting nuts, photorealism is SO close! My setup will not be able to play alot of unreal 5 stuff I don't think, personally.

Fortunately for you, I don't think we are quite there yet. The Ryzen 3 can handle some pretty surprising GPU's for its age. As long as it can process that larger amount of frames for 1080p, I think you've got a decent shot at being able to enjoy this game. But yeah, if it just cant manage it, ya may well have to. Although I think this game is worth upgrading for, without even playing it. 5600/X is pretty affordable now. Your MOBO can handle it. Although 550 or higher would help alot. 12gb VRAM is going to become more and more necessary pretty soon too. And of course, 16-32mb RAM, especially 32, makes a big difference. I suspect those are going to be the new "minimums". 12gb VRAM, 6 core/12thread, AM4/I5, 32gb RAM.

I could very well be wrong. This is just my opinion. I just wanted to try and be helpful based on my experience with the first game, which I only just played within the last 2 months. It blew my mind and is one of my all time favorites. So I really understand the frustration and the craving to be able to enjoy this game and have it look as magnificent as the first one did. It really captured a special place in my heart.

Based on the minimums for this, if I'm not mistaken, your setup is better than those minimums, right? I think you've got a good shot. I hope you do! Hope my input was helpful in any way. Sorry I can't give a yes or no. Best of luck!

Shorter game? the first one was around 7 and a half hours to beat. Now, this one will be shorter than that? and for that price? while you have a game like Indika, 4-ish hours long and it only costs $25.

The first Hellblade is what, $30 (+tax)? why couldn't they sell this one for $35+ or $40+? just charging a lot for no real reason. They "should" learn not to overprice things just for overpricing's sake, especially not just for visuals.

DLC? I rather get a full, longer game. If they just combined the first Hellblade with this one, you'd get a decently chunk of a beefy game. Seems like they cut a game in half. Sold the first half early and now, the second half.

Edit: I also hope there's a Demo out for this game. That way people can try it out to see if it runs and how it runs for them. But let's see if the Devs "care" enough to release one.

They've been saying that this new one will be about 8-10 hours, so I don't know why you think it will be shorter than a game that you think is 7 1/2 hours long.

It's not 'no real reason'. It's because the game had the budget and resources of a AAA game, but because it's shorter and more linear than most AAA games they charged less than full price. Game prices are usually a reflection of how much the game cost to make, and are also usually set by the publisher rather than the developer.

I don't agree with that. The first game felt like a complete story, not just 'the first half' of one. I don't think they were planning to make a sequel before they finished the first one.

Again, whether or not to release a demo is a publisher decision rather than a developer decision. We've seen how much Xbox Games Studios 'cares' about their fans lately so I wouldn't expect them to release one, especially since making a demo requires extra time and money that Xbox clearly does not want to spend. But I would encourage you to stop blaming devs for publisher decisions because that's clearly not fair on the devs.
