Raised blacks in HDR mode on PC/console.
A bit disappointing to see raised blacks on both my PC version and console version of Hellblade II. It's most easily noticeable in the black bars on a 16:9 monitor, and it's a bit distracting on an OLED monitor. If you turn HDR off, the bars turn fully black. Any chance of a fix for this?

I don't have that problem and I'm gaming on an OLED.

I suggest you take a closer look. It's not immediately obvious to some, it seems.

I game in a fully dark room...blacks are inky. Maybe play with the in-game calibration settings.

Yeah that's not it. Having a friend check his tonight, but pretty sure it's a game problem.

If it were a game problem you wouldn't be the only one with this complaint...:steamhappy:

I've heard this so many times, only to draw attention to an issue and then it blows up. Watch this space. :D

Same issue here, it's so annoying. Playing on a C1 OLED.

I've narrowed this down to HDR1000 being problematic. Running at HDR400 and the blacks are black. This is the only game with this issue that I've ever seen. Doing more testing...

Same here. Raised blacks on a C1 OLED, goes away if you turn HDR off.

I have a problem with that HDR.
I activate HDR in Windows settings, then I go to graphism settings in the game.

Here I activate the settings "HDR" for having access of the fine HDR settings.
But the colors immediately became washed out and very pale.
Like if there were 2 layers of HDR at the same time.

(If I launch the game without activate HDR first in Windows, the settings of the game refuse to activate HDR in graphism settings).

I am the only one with such a problem?

I'm on PC, I don't have this problem. Mmm, are you on Windows 10 or 11? I just turn on HDR and everything is fine in game, I set the setting I want and I will say the HDR is really good

No issue here either. Hdr is dark however. What is your gamma at?

Right? I had to turn mine to bright and up gamma a lil pinch to get the blacks to crush a little less. Still just glad it's seeming to be working. HDR always is a pain in most games, and randomly usable or not.

the hdr settings are kinda weird... but blacks are definitely black. Even setting it on HDR Bright it doesn't raise the black level. don't touch the contrast... enable DTM on your display if it looks too dim.

This is one of, possibly the only, game i started using DTM instead of HGiG on.
Also make sure to run Windows HDR calibration. (calibrate with DTM off, of course)

LG C2 / Game Mode
