Buyer beware
This is a 5 hours game with mostly cutscenes and some small interactions. The entire screen has the double black bars meaning you will see it a lower resolution. It's kind of like The Evil Within....wich needed a mod to make it full screen.
While the "product" looks nice, has some gameplay and a nice lenght for a movie.... it's clearly designed for gamepass or another service that has a subscription fee.
Absolutley no reason to charge 50 euros for it, the fair price would have been 20 euros.

I remember Steam used to sell movies, i am not sure if they do but i remember their prices being at 20 euros or less.
It would cost me about 10 euros to go watch a movie so i don't see any reason to pay 50 euros for a 5 hour movie.

It is artistic, it is creepy and mysterious but your wallet needs more than that to justify a big purchase.

It is not a AAA game, it's a AAA animation movie.
This game would fit the DEMO tag very well, to me it seems like a tech demo for some new engine but they even failed that since the performance is bad and needs a nasa computer

Games are too long nowadays. People don't feel happy if they play less than 100 hours. Of course, being short is a huge flaw in games like Tomb Raider 7 Legend, which should be about exploration and we can play fully in 2 hours. But it definitely is not the case of Hellblade, a game about cinematics, so being less than 10 hours long is not a flaw here.

BUT... I agree that the price is salty.
You dont even know what good game is if you speak such a bs. Comparing movie walking simulator to a game is so silly. I never read such a stupid statement. No one is asking those 100 hours we just ask quality gameplay that would give us fun and enjoyable game. Hi-fi rush amazing title 11-12 hours gameplay. A Plague Tale: Innocence amazing title that is 10-12 hours game with great gameplay and story.

It's an adventure game, it's taking me on a journey, quality vs quantity - i'll take the quality. It has captivated me so far, can't wait to delve into it again. No other recent game compares to this, perhaps I should have played Helldivers II or Justice League or Dead Island II <- no thanks, 100% happy about paying for Hellblade II. Top studio, top quality product, they've done themselves proud.

'Designed for Gamepass' yes because this is the first game to be around 6 hours isnt it.
There are tons of AA and Indie games this length and less, hell even some AAA games. In fact in the 360/ps3 gen this length was pretty standard.
Its also not a full price game so. Its also a sequel to a game so people already know what they are getting into.
Thanks for your 'concern' though.
First: There is no such thing as a AA game. AAA have to do with financing, f.ex. games that generated additional revenue over time.

Second: Not a full price game? $53.32 is smack bang right there
There is no proper classification for games with moderate budgets. That's where it's unofficially called "AA" Games like Soulstice are "AA" titles. The studio has a modest size, budget to be above small "indie" budgets versus the ridiculous and often ignorant budget of AAA

Can anyone actually confirm that its only 5-6 hours long? I don't care for the game being too long but 15 hours minimum for the asking price seems fair to me. I'll just wait for a sale otherwise, no worries.

Some legendary Games wer Movies like Until Dawn, Heavy Rain, Asuras Wrath and many more and they all wer Full Price Games.
Just because this is not your Genre makes this one not a bad Game or not worth the Money.

This is Art and a good Walking Sim/Intertactiv Movie :)
You can like it or buy every Year your new stupid Ubisoft Game (All the same) your Stupid Sport Games from EA/2K or every year a new CoD :)
If 60Dollar for a little piece of Art is to much and 70Dollar for a soulless 300h Game like AC;Valhallla is a good price than just buy your blend long trash and be happy.

Last game I purchased was Darktide 40000, zero regrets about buying that, every game since then I'm passed on, Helldivers II no thanks to the anti cheat, Dead Island II, no thanks, Epic exclusive. I don't see 50 euros as expensive for something exceptional, heck people pay way more for abstract art that's nothing more than paint blobs on canvas that someone probably knocked up in a afternoon.

You should be thankful he bothered to warn you here from his experience.

Nope. It's a troll thread a few hours after the game released. There is no substance to anything.

In all honesty, I prefer to pay 20+ Euros for short experience that will last with me for a long time rather than invest the same amount in bloated 200-hours open world game that some screaming YouTuber claimed to have good cost/time ratio because of that.

This person has no idea what they are talking about WHATSOEVER. IF they played it, they didn't even watch beyond the recap or play even one second of the actual game.

Why? Let the child cry on whatever forums it supposedly plays on (oh wait, they don't have those). The rest of us can easily try it, form our own opinions and refund it if we don't like it on here.

Too many troll posts from kids angry that epicfail, Xbox, Sony, etc don't have places they can cry on.

Darktide originally used EAC which had kernel access and is still missing features promised for launch over a year later. Helldivers argument invalid.

Dead Island 2 is now on Steam - not an epic exclusive.

Try again.
