Seems like a massive flop
1800 concurrent players for an expensive game like this seems horrible.
For comparison, Ghost of Tsushima, a port of a 4 years old game, did 77000.

Ninja Theory are probably a dead developer walking.

It goes max speed then slow down repeatedly at least for my server location. Would usually take me minutes to download games as well.

Edit: Ok I see what the problem is, the option throttle download while streaming was enabled.

You're not wrong though. Some year ago they took my download speed from 33 MB/s
down to 23 MB/s for a period of time, only the last 4-6 months has it ever been that fast.
Had the same download speed from my provider for 3-4 years though.
So Steam is doing something sometimes.

To all you people that are pulling the it’s in game pass line just stop. There are many other games (Starfield) that are on game pass and had no issue selling. And also if you wanted to you could download the ps app on your of and stream ghost with your ps membership. So by your logic that shouldn’t have sold either? Or any game that comes to game pass shouldn’t be selling worth anything on pc? Well that will be great for cod now just won’t it?

Looking at current numbers I don't think it will reach more than 10k players at peak.

Don't think it will even come close to 10k, to be honest
The original game barely got over 5k concurrent players and that was half the price

I’ll be amazed if this game gets to 5k

Concurrent players on Steam... Yea, I have gamepass.

How would you think majority are playing on Steam?

Ghost released on Steam and Epic, and whom wouldn't buy to play on Steam over Epic as a PC gamer?

What is wrong with you exactly? Are you suffering from trauma?
Steam is the most popular pc platform by a country mile

Anyone thinking that there is more people playing this on game pass is drunk on the kool-aid

Even Redfall reached over 6k so these numbers are kinda embarrassing for this game.

There were lot of games that were released on gamepass as well as on steam and they did pretty good. Just look at Palworld, plague tale, maybe persona or maybe lies of P.

This is the perfect gamepass game.

I buy most my games and don't sub to gamepass.

For this one I've just subscribed.

Seems like exactly the type of game Microsoft wants on there.

I can complete this in a few days.
Others like Palworld or Lies of Pi I know I'll play on and off for many months which then makes the subscription not worth it to me.

Why are all the youtube viewers out here talking trash regurgitating the same ♥♥♥♥ they are? If you base a game's success on active player count alone, you're unfortunately too stupid to understand, and I can't help you, sorry.

Yeah and gamepass is the death of video games, especially when you release big games day one on that. If the game was 2 years old sure.... but on day one it's signing the death of your studio. At the end of the day it's a business. You don't make money.... You gonna close. that's the main problem of gamepass and Hi-Fi rush showed taht even when you make an award winning game you're not safe.

OMG! the game came out today and there are people who work and can't devote themselves to gaming in the middle of the week. Not to mention that this isn't a game for mass taste like Ghost of Tushima.
