Seems like a massive flop
1800 concurrent players for an expensive game like this seems horrible.
For comparison, Ghost of Tsushima, a port of a 4 years old game, did 77000.

Ninja Theory are probably a dead developer walking.

Most people would be playing on Xbox Game Pass, Ghost of Tsushima obviously doesn't have that so that's why the numbers are larger there.

The game is short and most likely made for game pass. They just went ham with graphics and story, nothing else. Therefore it really doesn't need to be purchased, its better to be played on game pass which was their main goal. Steam is just alternative if you want to purchase obviously.

Don't worry the player count will be 2/3 million on gamepass

It's tuesday, work hours, school hours, at least in the West at this point.
And as mentioned, on game pass. Very little hype, advertising, etc.

Bro your knowledge is Very less ninja theory already working on new ip
There is a thing call google and xbox gamepass and also youtube thank you

I would probably agree, but MS just closed down Tango because they didn't make enough money. So sales seem important to them. I read they want their studios to be self-sustaining.

The game is very niche and severely lacks mass appeal. Paired with the fact that it's super expensive relative to its length and also available on Gamepass, it's only natural that it won't attract many Steam players.

I think this night we will see more players, but yes, most players will play on gamepass so RIP Ninja Theory. It was nice while it lasted.

This game pass nonsense constantly gets thrown around and used like a smokescreen to hide the blatant truth

How that game pass thing work out for redfall? lol

The reality is game pass is a dying service. People aren’t interested in game subscription services nor are they interested in cloud nonsense

This game is a flop and painfully so. You can’t sell a short game at AAA prices that require a nasa PC to work properly in 2024 and expect it to be successful

In before reports of ‘disappointing sales’ are published so I can say told you so
TRethehedgehog May 21, 2024 @ 4:40am
There was no advertising and it’s day one on gamepass

R.I.P. ninja theory

Negativity craving pleb. Easier to embrace the darkness than to light a candle, eh?

Sales and player numbers should not be what determines if you buy or enjoy a game. Are you interested in it? If so, just go play it instead of worrying about player counts.

Doesn't UE 5 help make development a lot cheaper?

Also it's a complete different game. Ghost of Tsushima is a well-known console game and PC gamers were 'begging' the last years for a pc port, which they finally got.
