Exactly!
Reviews are starting to leak early and it appears that its a good sequel without any politics, just some minor bugs and graphical issues which is to be expected.
They got my money - hope they do well in sales and keep making great games.
The Picts and other cultures would've killed it off.
Seriously though, I don't anticipate any of that nonsense in HB2. Not pre-ordering, but still slightly excited.
Best suggestion I can give (not just for this but for any game, especially ones that aren't indie):
When this comes out go play something else for a week or two. Wait for non-access media to get their hands on this and have a chance to give their opinion on the game. Read a non-spoiler review or ten to see if this game meets your criteria and standards.
Waiting for 1-2 weeks isn't gonna hurt Ninja Theory if it's a good game and it allows you to skip the hype and truly know whether it's worth your money beforehand.
Forspoken begs to differ with your opinion. Or is it ignorance? So we all have to worship DIE/DEI or we're against minorities? Hey, "lil bro", you don't know the OP and no one knows you. Are you a mind reader?
As for Forspoken, do you even know who consulted on it? The process of why the main character was changed?
Its not really historical in any way, its alternative history if anything.. (based on historical elements, but with modern take)
Every single mainstream AAA publisher/developer (and like this, conglomerate (Microsoft) entity have their own and are affiliated with many consulting companies to increase their DEI scores... These are often self done and more about an image than reality.
One of the biggest down voters in DEI scores are gambling (even more so if kids are involved) yet many of these companies does not mention it in their reports, they instead focus on representation, work space health and security and so forth... (even when its not true... )
DEI scores are not the issue, society trends are. That being said, I don´t really think this game is problematic in any way, it has a focus and a clear target audience, there are plenty of alternative games if you are not part of the target audience.
"Obsession with race is an illness my friend." Yes, indeed. Perhaps that is why the original poster and the person you quoted would rather avoid games developed by companies that dedicate a lot of time and money on consultants and designers who focus on race, diversity and other insignificant to the quality of the game matters.
