gonna restart steam, and uninstall
4k resolution 144hz r, AMD 5900x + 6950xt 32gb ram, game installed on an SSD,
game will be stuck at gamerepair for minutes then will disconnect display, can't do anything but hard reset
lower resolution to fullHD, 60hz and after gamerepair I can see initial logos and then display goes blank hdmi not discovered, again only hard reset helps.
reinstalled drivers, even updated my mainboard BIOS
reinstalled game
no change
deleting/renaming gamerepair file will skip the minutes of running the script rest remains unchanged.
This is unacceptable I really wanted to play this after enjoying Hellblade 1

\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Senua's Saga Hellblade II\GamingServices
I got the game running in the end, support contacted me but weren't helpful, by that I mean we did not resolve my issue together, nor did I find out from them why it was happening and how to avoid it.
What I did discover though, on my system running Windows 10, I have all the Xbox related apps and services disabled and uninstalled.
Hellblade 2 on steam, was trying o force open the Microsoft store to download the 3 related Xbox apps, I eventually allowed it to do this and installed them - I was finally able to launch the game and play it normally.
I explained all this to support in detail, hopefully something will change soon.
As much as I regret having to do this, in the end I dont care as I can at least play and remove them when finished. But if this is one of the main issues, it really needs to be addressed and listed as a dependency for the game. Xbox services in Windows.
I really hope this helps somebody else!
