After a timeless crashes in video setting and after climbing intro rocks i got a fix.
in C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Hellblade2\Saved\Config\Windows\

I see this in the recommended specs "Intel i7-10700K, 16 GB RAM" and what do you mean "Fatal Error in Settings game" ? when you go to settings you get a Fatal Error? or when you try to change the graphic settings?

Can you lower stuff? disable stuff? and if your GPU isn't dying, the artifacts may be tied to the game being too much for your rig to handle (it may need more/stronger power)

I'm no expert so this is just me guessing. Try what you can but if nothing helps, refund it and get something less demanding (especially when it comes to Unreal Engine 5 games)

They should have released a Demo so people could test the game out before buying it, to avoid stuff like this.

good questions
1) when i enter in options from main menu (in right side start loadind of some thing, some prev of graphicsi bealive) i get the Fatal Error. When i do the same from first level graphics options are available and i can change everything but it's not help.
2) in the first level i have stable 60 fps on low-medium settings. So i bealive my pc can handle it. Crash of the game comming only first unskippable sceen with 'dad'.

Im tryed set admin right of launch, win 8 compatibility, update driver for video card, reinstall the game to SSD, change all settings in the game on low lvl. And for my it dont help :(

not yet... for me it's look like problem with shaders or some other effects. so i believe turn off some effect can help, its should heal visual artifacts. But i dont find right one yet

I had the same issue. Everytime when I went in to the graphic settings the game crashed and said "Fatal Error". It also crashed after 10 minutes playing the game. Unfortunately I haven´t found a solution, so I refunded the game : (

I solved it by copying the text above onto engine.it.

I was also having the same issues (purple/green visual artefacts and main menu settings->graphics leading to crash) and can be solved by copying the text on the first message but, those settings disables/removes a whole bunch of stuff (letterboxing, post processing etc). So I did some digging and the issue seems to be fixable only adding.

If you want to keep the creator's intent with the visual style you might give this fix a go.

Thank you very much sir. This helped. I was trying to fix this for over a month, wrote to the support which rendered to be useless, reinstalled Windows 2 times and now I am able to fully enjoy the game without any crashes and with stunning visuals.

The solution up top does work, but the graphics get wierd. It's like everyone has a flashlight in their mouths xD

This worked for me!!! I was able to play the game, no crashes and no artifacts
Same issue, it must be with 5700 and 5700xt, purple glitch and sparkle on first scene hilltops. Crash in settings but not when scene is loaded and the go graphics settings. Have to try this fix.
